I’ve always wanted to be a farmer. Well, actually a gardener. I see layered floral gardens as abstractions in the wild. Some are planned and contained while others are spontaneous and unbound. They are brilliant in bloom and melancholic while dormant.

I’ve always wanted to be healthy. Well, actually happy. I see layered personal apprehensions as abstractions of the mind. Some are learned and controllable while others are anonymous and chaotic. They are luminous in clarity and opaque while muddled.

My work resides in the middle, somewhere between truth and abstraction, as layered reflections of occurrences and self. Some are bright and spacious while others are ominous and restrained.
